Google Classroom has just launched a new feature to support parents and guardians – blog post. This will allow Google Classroom to share summaries of student work with parents. They can receive daily or weekly email summaries of student work and class announcements, allowing them to keep up-to-date with what’s happening in the classroom.
We’re pleased to announce that we have added support for this to Salamander Active Directory, allowing it to automatically invite your students’ parents to Google Classroom, rather than an administrator needing to do it for each student. We can also remove parents from classroom if they stop having parental responsibility. This will work whether you use SIMS, Facility, iSAMS, Pass or any other MIS.
If you are using Google Classroom and Salamander Active Directory and would like to implement this then just email support and we’ll get it set up for you. Note, you will need to make sure that your contact information is clean and up to date before using it.
